The wooden house in the Tabačkovce settlement is a place where our roots run deep. My grandparents once lived here – entire generations of our family spent their lives among these hills. In the sixties, they decided to leave, but the house remained here, waiting quietly. My father saved it years later with his own hands, so it wouldn't completely fall apart. And today I continue this work – not for profit, but out of respect. For the family, their story, and the place that shaped us all. I want life to return to Tabačkovce – quiet, honest, and real. So this place can breathe again and show the world that even an ordinary wooden house on a hill can have a soul. Navrchy is not a resort. It's a return – to essence, to peace, to nature. To fire under the stars, the scent of the forest, and a view that reminds us what's important in life.
My name is Ján Mindek. I grew up among these hills and today I'm returning here – with my family, with respect, and with a desire to continue the tradition. This wooden house is for me a symbol of returning to my roots. Perhaps it will be for you too.
